Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day August 27!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day August 27!

Hey there! Today is our August birthday celebration! We try to celebrate all of the birthdays in our family with a get together on one Sunday of the month. We don't have a birthday in every month of the year, and of course the little's all have their own parties, but we still have one family party to honor everyone with a birthday that month. August is the biggest birthday month with SIX of us! Liam, Ava, Kimberly, Ben, me, and Cody! Today we are gathering at our house. It's lots of work, but soooo worth it!

I'm quickly going to share my Sunday Swap Day cards with you now before things get crazy with all of the preparations!

First, Rhonda Griffin used the Climbing Orchid bundle:

Next, Deb McCahan combined Climbing Orchid with Jar of Love:

Kerry McDonough watercolored a background for her Label Me Pretty creation:

The name on the back of this Oh So Eclectic card simply says "Landa", but it sure is lovely!

Carol Slack combined the Oh So Eclectic Bundle with polished stone peeking through the openings:

Finally, Janace Charbonneau also used the Oh So Eclectic Bundle, adding a sentiment from Just Add Text.

Stampin’ Up! Label Me Pretty & the New Catalog Starts at Noon TODAY!

Stampin’ Up! Label Me Pretty & the New Catalog Starts at Noon TODAY!

Hey there! Happy New Annual Catalog Day! Although not everyone would understand that this day really IS a day to celebrate, I'm sure YOU DO! If you didn't you probably wouldn't be reading my blog, would you?

Just so you aren't disappointed, we can start placing orders from the New Annual Catalog at Noon Mountain Time today. It takes Stampin' Up! a little bit to get all of the new codes turned on and make sure everything is ship-shape!

The card I want to share with you today was created by my dear friend and team member, Angela Black. Angela used my favorite (at least for now!) new In Color, Berry Burst, with the Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label Punch to create her swap for our May team meeting.

Stampin_up_label_me_pretty_carolpaynestamps1

Angela let the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper do most of the work! She added shimmer with her Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen and a couple of Glitter Enamel Dots!

Stampin_up_label_me_pretty_carolpaynestamps2

She kept the inside simple and elegant by only stamping in the corners of the white layer with one end of a Label Me Pretty image.

If you haven't taken a peek at the new catalog yet, you can access it in my online store after 1 p.m. Central Time: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Remember while shopping:

All online orders receive a Thank You card.

Every $25 online order (before tax & shipping) using the June Host Code that I will post tomorrow morning (I can't create the Host Code until later today)will receive pre-cut card kits, one each of the three Online Ordering Rewards cards I will post soon. I had planned to use the Daisy Delight Bundle for the June Online Ordering Rewards, but the punch is on backorder and will be for most of the month of June. I know you are probably already drooling over that bundle, so I won't make it worse by offering you card kits that you can't order the bundle to finish.

Be sure to check out the Clearance Rack while you are there!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Thailand Achiever’s May Blog Hop New Catalog Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Thailand Achiever’s May Blog Hop New Catalog Sneak Peek!

Hey there and welcome to the Stampin' Up! Thailand Achiever's May Blog Hop! Our theme this month is a New Catalog Sneak Peek! The new catalog is right around the corner, and we are so excited to share some sneak peeks of all of the fabulous new ideas and products!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person above me in the list. If you get off track, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.  At the moment you are visiting Carol Payne.

I decided to play with the wildly popular Daisy Delight Bundle!

First, I stamped a background using one of the daisy centers from the set with Daffodil Delight ink:

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_background_carolpaynestamps2

I didn't worry about it being too "perfect", I just stamped the center three times before re-inking. I love the varying shades you get when you do this!

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_background_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped Basic Black daisies over the background, added a stamped and punched daisy, Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon, and a greeting from Label Me Pretty!

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_carolpaynestamps1

I had to hurry to take these pictures because it was starting to sprinkle outside, but I love using natural light! I stamped and punched three daisies, curled the petals with my fingers, then adhered together with Liquid Glue. I added highlights with my White Stampin' Chalk Marker, and finished the center with a Gold Faceted Gem. I adhered to the card front with a double stack of dimensionals.

Label Me Pretty and the Pretty Label Punch are fast becoming a staple stampin' tool!

Because I wanted everything to be brand new, I reached for Just Add Text for the inside sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tuilps!

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tuilps!

Hey there! One of the awesome perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is to get to order new products early, even host sets that you can only get by having a stamping party! All of the new Host sets are pretty much ones you can't-live-without, but my fav of the one's coming in the new catty is the set I used for today's card, Tranquil Tulips!

Stampin_up_tranquil_tulips_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped these pretty Berry Burst blooms on a layer of Whisper White, layered on new In Color Berry Burst, layered on a Whisper White Notecard. I stamped the stems and leaves with new In Color Tranquil Tide.

These blooms are two-step, which means there are two separate images for each flower. To stamp the larger, lighter portion of the bloom, "stamp-off" on scratch paper after you have inked the stamp but before you stamp on the paper. The leaves and stems are Tranquil Tide.

Carol's Stamping Tip: Stamp the three-stemmed set of stems first, then the blooms. It helps to stamp the two-step bloom when you can see the top of the stem. Stamp the leaves  last.

NOTE: Tranquil Tulips images are intended to look faded to give them a vintage feel. This makes it easier to stamp because they aren't perfect on purpose!

Stampin_up_tranquil_tulips_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped the greeting a frame using the Label Me Pretty Bundle, which includes the Pretty Label Punch. Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is the finishing touch!

Stampin_up_tranquil_tulips_carolpaynestamps3

Just Add Text provided the inside sentiment.

All of these new products will be available for you to order on June 1st, but remember, Tranquil Tulips can ONLY be obtained when you either host a party or submit an order of at least $150 and use your Host Rewards to get this set!

Until then, there's still lots of retiring products available to order from my online store: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Remember while shopping:

All online orders receive a Thank You card.

Every $25 online order (before tax & shipping) using the May Host Code: ERAKMFX7  will receive pre-cut card kits, one each of these three Nailed It cards:
