Before I forget, let me remind you that if you have been thinking about joining the Stampin' Up! family as a demonstrator, NOW is the time! In addition to choosing your own stamps & inks with your Starter Kit, you also receive the beautiful Greenhouse Gala Craft Tote (perfect for taking your stuff to workshops, your Papercutter will even lay down in it, it's that long!), AND if you sign up with me by Sunday, October 3rd, you will also receive the adorable not-yet-seen Occasions Mini 2011 stamp set, "Eat Chocolate"! Go check out my post of September 24th and September 27th to see samples made with this set! Go to my Demonstrator Business Website:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Click on the "Start Your Own Business" icon on the upper right side of the page to get basic information on how to get started, then click on the "Join Now" icon on the lower left side to apply to become a demonstrator and to choose your Starter Kit products! It will ask for my recruiter password: "yesmam!"

Once you have completed the application process and have paid for your Starter Kit, Stampin' Up! will immediately issue you a Demonstrator ID# and will email you the information you need to get on your Demonstrator Webpage so you can get started!

When I receive notice that you have joined Stampin' Up! I will contact you as soon as I can to help you get started!

Ok, with the business out of the way, here's a few cards from the Founder's Circle Regional Sample boards!

That's it for today, stampers! I have  Scallop Square Holiday Purse Classes tonight and tomorrow, and a workshop for Alicia on Sunday, so I will see you back here on Monday with some Halloween samples!

Until then, have a StampingRox! day!

Why I didn’t blog yesterday & 2 workshop samples!

Why I didn’t blog yesterday & 2 workshop samples!

Well, I didn't get back to blog yesterday because of two reasons, the first being it was my oldest daughter's birthday so I decided to spend some time with her. She is busy with her family (three kids) and her photography business (Jessica Hollis Photography, see the link to her blog on my right sidebar!) and we never get to spend enough time together. We talk on the phone almost everyday, but it's better, of course, to be together, so we met in the morning and checked out a few antique stores we have been wanting to go to, had lunch at a fun place we love, then made the inevitable trip to Wal-mart! I was glad for a chance to spend time with her and thankful that my "job" as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator allows me to take off time like this when I want!

The second reason I didn't blog is because I had a workshop last night with Tiffany! Tiffany is a scrapbooker but new to stamping. She had made a couple of stamping purchases from me in the last couple of months, but decided she needed a workshop so she could learn how to use her stuff (she had not been to an actual workshop demonstration)! She wanted to make something for a Halloween treat and something Christmas, so here are samples of our projects! The first one is a Halloween treat bag (we DID have chocolate to go in it, of course!) made with the Mini Lunch Sacks #121031 from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Everyone at the workshop was excited (and relieved) to find out that these sacks come already scalloped, so they didn't have to worry about doing it with scissors or a punch! The scallops on these bags DO match the Scallop Edge Border #119882 we have in the catalog, so you could add extra scallops with coordinating cardstock if you wanted! We also used the very popular Clear-mount stamp set, Wicked Cool #120600, along with Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Paper #117400, 1/2" Raven Lace Trim #120988, the Bitty Bat Punch #119279, Black Flourish Designer Jewels #120987, and Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon #109027! We ruffled the 10" of lace trim to the bottom of the flocked Designer Paper by attaching a piece of Sticky Strip #104294, then gathering and sticking the lace to the Sticky Strip. (TIP: Don't put the bottom of your Designer Paper too close to the "bend" in the Mini Lunch Sack or the ruffled lace will loosen over time) We also used the 1 3/8" x 5/8" Oval Large #119863, the 1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large #119855, and the Scallop Oval Extra-Large #119856 for the "have a WICKED halloween" greeting.

Our second project was an oldie-but-goodie I've been making for years, an envelope giftcardholder! Very easy and practical, this little cutie is made a Crumb Cake Medium envelope #107297. We used Cherry Cobbler#119685, Marina Mist #119682, Soft Suede #115318, and Confetti Cream #102835  8 1/2 x 11" cardstocks, along with Soft Suede #115657 & Marina Mist #119668 Classic ink!

DID YOU KNOW? You can purchase a whole color family of cardstocks, such as the Neutrals Collection #119707 shown on page 169 of the Idea Book & Catalog, for just $6.95? You will receive 20 sheets, two each of all 10 Neutrals colors to sample and try before buying a package of your favorite color!

We used the Clear Mount stamp set,  Jolly Old Saint Nick #121321 from the Holiday MIni Catalog.
