Stampin’Up! Summer Smooches and Loved Ones!

Stampin’Up! Summer Smooches and Loved Ones!

Now that you have had a chance to view all of the retiring lists, how about a few cards?

These cards are the result of my stamping for my "Spring Into Stamping" presetation last Saturday. These cards are all made with the Summer Smooches DSP, Blossom Party Die, Scallop Square Duo Die, and the Occasions Mini set, "Loved Ones"!

I liked the colors and the layout, but something was just not quite right, so I changed the greeting colors to this with Not Quite Navy, Real Red, and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers:

And I loved it! It's amazing how just changing the color scheme of the greeting "Mom" made all the difference between o.k. and WOW!

As a tie-in for my presentation with the Big Shot Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets (which are NOT on the Retiring Accessories List! YAY!), I did another card identical except for adding the Adhesive Sheets on the cardstock before going through the Big Shot with the Blossom Party Die, then adding Dazzling Diamonds:

A completely different look, adding the glitter! It mutes the bright colors, but is truly "dazzling"!

"Loved Ones" will only be available for 5 more days, when the Occasions Mini expires. And unfortunately, the Summer Smooches Fabric Brads are no longer available, as the supply was just for this month and has now been exhausted. The Flower Brads are on the Retiring Accessories List but currently still available, so you need to check out those lists and get your orders in early! I've already had a few Online Orders take advantage of my "BlueSox" Online Stampin' Rewards Program, so join in today!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Calendar Class!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Calendar Class!

I apologize for the super late post today. I actually had one almost ready to post this morning, but for some unknown reason my computer froze up, I had to restart, then when I cam back to the blog the post was lost! So frustrating, but also compounded by the fact that I couldn't re-do it then because my daughter was picking me up to run some errands so it had to wait! WAAAAAH!

Ok, now that I've whined a bit, let's try this again! Thanks for letting me vent! ha!

I'm having a Birthday Perpetual Calendar Class at my house on the 31st of March, my last SAB event for this year, so of course I've been working on the calendar. I decided to go with two different cover versions. The inside pages will be the same for both, just the covers will be diff!

Here's the first one using the Big Shot Blossom Party Originals Die, Twitterpated DSP, and Cherry Cobbler Regals Buttons!

The tiny little flourishes under the medallion are from the still-free-set with a qualifying SAB order, "Kindness Matters"!

Here's the other calendar cover, this time in earthy tones using "Nature Walk" and "Best Friends Forever"!

I love collage stamping, but am somewhat intimidated by it, so I decided to just go for it with this, and I love the result! The one stamp that "Nature Walk" lacks, in my opinion, is a foliage stamp, so I turned to "Best Friends Forever", and it has the perfect one! I also used the Label Framelits Dies to create the focal image layers, and it turned out well too!

I used the "Petals-a-Plenty" Textured Impressions Folder for the layers, and added a brad from the "Vintage Trinkets", which added the perfect finishing touch!

Gotta go for now, lots to still do for my next few workshops and classes! Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
