Stampin’ Up! Blended Bloom by Kathy!

Stampin’ Up! Blended Bloom by Kathy!

Hey there! I'm on a mission right now to finish my Bloomin' Beautiful class prep!We had a small family crisis earlier in the week (how can a crisis be small? but it was, and everything is ok now) which threw off all of my prep time, so I'm sharing one of the cards we will be making with you today:

This gorgeous card is by Kathy Morgan, a participant in the monthly swap with me.

In prepping for my class I changed/added just a bit:

We are sponging Blackberry Bliss ink on the white-embossed Blended Bloom instead of using the Blendabilites markers. Right now I only have one set of the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities and it would take quite a bit of ink to cover this bloom. I have had several RSVP's for this event (yay!) so I switched to using sponge daubers to add the color.

Kathy's original did not have a greeting. I used the birthday greeting from Blooming With Kindness, cut out with a Project Life Card & Labels Framelit.

Inside is all mine, stamping the Blended Bloom with yummy Blackberry Bliss ink, and adding sentiments from Trust God with Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake.

That's all for now, I've got to fly!

Couple of things to remember:

Big Shot Bundles Promotion ends on August 31! You can place your order for your Big Shot and choose your favorite bundle free (and purchase more bundles at 15% off!) in my Online Store HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Work of Art Blackberry Bliss Blossom!

Stampin’ Up! Work of Art Blackberry Bliss Blossom!

Hey there! I had unexpected company today, Alisa, Cody & Oakley, and Kimberly, Tony, & Liam! They all came over to play in the baby pool (which they ALL fit in, BTW) and then afterward Alisa & Kimmy helped me with my convention swaps! They really helped boost me forward! Thanks, sweethearts!

Today I have another card we made last month at a Stamp-a-Stack with the Work of Art set:

Stampin_up_work_of_art_1
I had received a swap that was stamped with Hello Honey for the bloom and decided I wanted to try it with Blackberry Bliss. I LOVE IT!

This card is smaller than the normal A2 size we usually stamp. I used Whisper White Notecards and envelopes, layered on Mossy Meadow, then finished with another Whisper White layer to stamp. I used Hello Honey 3/8" Striped Satin Ribbon for the bow, and punched out the center greeting with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.

Here's a tip to stamp the leaves on the stem. Ink up each end of the chevron stamp in the Work of Art set separately, then stamp with each end to create the leaves. Easy peasy!

Work of art flower stems

On the inside I used more Work of Art stamps to create the butterfly and the smaller  bloom at the bottom:

Stampin_up_work_of_art_2
I inked just a bit of the end of the flower stem stamp with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker to stamp the body of the butterfly after I had stamped the wings with the heart from the set. I used the heart to stamp the smaller bloom too!

Work of art butterfly middle

It's SO EXCITING! Stampin' Up! is adding NEW items to the clearance rack today!

Stampin’ Up! Work of Art with Blackberry Bliss!

Stampin’ Up! Work of Art with Blackberry Bliss!

Hey there! Just a quick post as I am making my final preparations for my New Catalog Premiere Open House today and Saturday.

Today I'm sharing the Make n' Take using the fab new catalog set, Work of Art, and the yummy new In Color, Blackberry Bliss! Yes, all the shades of purple are from the same inkpad! I just inked once, stamped full strength, stamped a second time without reinking, then "breathed" on the stamp before the third and fourth stamping. Delish!

Stampin_up_blackberry_bliss_1

The Blackberry Bliss cardstock, ink, and 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon are all NEW products, as well as the Work of Art stamp set and the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad, which will be available mid-summer along with the Stampin' Blendabilites markers for my greeting and sentiment stamping. Can I just say it's my favorite black ink EVER?! You are going to love it too, I'm sure. It's crisp, clean, dark, and doesn't smear! yay!

I added individual sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim with glue dots for the perfect final accent!

Stampin_up_work_of_art_blackberry_bliss_2
There's not much to put on a supply list because most of the products will not be available to order online until June 2nd, but I will try to edit this post on the 2nd to add them.

This is one of two new In Color combos my stamping friends will have to choose from. Which color do you think is the alternate choice? Come back tomorrow to find out!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition: I Do!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition: I Do!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

Hey there! It's Stampers Dozen Blog Hop time again! yay! This month our theme is "I Do!" and oh my goodness do we ever have some gorgeous projects for you! If you are already on the hop, you've just come from Laura Milligan's blog "I'd Rather "Bee" Stampin'!" I love her creations every month, don't you?

For my project today I actually CASED a project from page 14 of the New Annual Catalog. I can't show you the actual catalog picture until after the new catty goes live on June 2nd, but I can show you my version of their wedding favor:

Stampin_up_label_love_1

This is SO CUTE and SO EASY! I used a combo of New Catalog Sneak Peek and current-but-carrying-over products to make these.

New Catalog Sneak Peek products used:

Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack #133701 $6.95

Blackberry Bliss 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock: #133675 $6.95 (one of the 5 new In-Colors for 2014-16!)

Blackberry Bliss Classic Inkpad #133642 $5.95

Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon: #133668 $8.95 (10 yds)

Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787 $16.95 (flower punch from the pack)

Current Catalog Products(these products will also be in the New Catalog):

Label Love stamp set #130619 wood-mount $24.95 or #130622 clear-mount  $17.95

Artisan Label punch #130920 $15.95

Cellophane Bags 1" x 8" #124134 $2.50 (50 per pkg)

Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319 $5.95

Pearls Basic Jewels #119247 $4.95

Stampin' Dimensionals #104430 $3.95

I found the easiest way to fill the skinny little cello bags was to use a funnel inserted into the top of the bag. As the rice funneled in I squeezed the sides of the bag so the rice would fill evenly:

Blog hop 2

I used Long Grain Brown Rice for one bag  and Black Rice for the other. The Black Rice is actually kind of a purple-y color which matched the Blackberry Bliss cardstock, ink , and ribbon perfectly!

Stampin_up_label_love_3

These little bags can hold lots of fun things: M & M's, jelly beans, licorice sticks, pixie stix; anything that will slide into the 1" x 8" bag will work. One end of the bag has a little adhesive strip cover you remove, then fold down the flap to secure your goodies inside!

I had cut the points of the pennants with my Paper Snips. I cut up from the center of the end about 3/4", then cut into the top of the first cut from each corner. This is the easiest way to get perfectly even points almost every time!

I punched the hole for the ribbon with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (which is retiring), but there is a NEW hand-held 1/4" Circle Punch coming in the New Catalog that will work even better. We've had this size of a circle hand-held punch before, but this one has an even LONGER reach than before! yay!

While several of today's products are not available to order until June 2nd, you can still shop HERE for current, retiring, Clearance, and Weekly Deals products!

Before I go, I just wanted to share a picture of our Stampers Dozen Blog Hop group. 10 of the 13 of us were on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip last week, so we scheduled a time to meet, swap, and take a group picture:

Stampers_dozen_blog_hop_cruise_pic

Front row l to r: Lee Conrey, Jodi Reinert, Judy Garza, Patty Chenail, and me!

Back row l to r: Stella MacKay, Laura Milligan, Janet Wakeland, France Martin, and BJ Peters.

The crazy "photobomber" in the back is Pam Morgan, a VP on the Stampin' Up! Corporate Team! Pam is a fun and beautiful person, inside and out!

That's all for now. Next you will want to hop over to Judy Garza's blog, Stampingwithjudyg to see what she has created for us!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
