Hey there. About the time I was ready to start working on my post for today (I try to schedule my post for the next day in the evening) the power went out! I took it as a sign that I should just go to bed!

I created today's project with the Best Thoughts Hostess set:

The bloom image (does anyone really know what kind of flower this is? I'm thinking it's maybe a hydrangea?) was heat-embossed with white powder on white vellum, then colored on the back with a Perfect Plum marker. After I colored the whole thing I went back in with an Elegant Eggplant marker and added the darker accents. It looks like a mess from the backside, but when you turn it over it's gorgeous!

Attaching vellum to the card is tricky. Most adhesives show through and if you try to put it just under the colored image it won't stick to the moisture from the ink. I ended up putting a strip of Tear and Tape behind the bloom and a glue dot in every corner, then covered the glue dots with a white candy dot.
