Stampin’ Up! Lots of Happy In the Wild Card!

Hey there! A few weeks ago a friend asked me to create a card for her dear friend that was moving out-of-state and taking her zebra with her!

How often do you get a card request like that?

I used a retired set, In The Wild. It has a 2003 copywrite!

The card requested also needed to be larger than the regular 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" I normally make, so I made the card 5 1/2" x 7:

I used Glossy card stock, rubbing first with my embossing buddy, then stamping the zebra repeatedly with Versamark. After sprinkling all of the zebras with clear embossing powder, I heated them with my heat tool. I used a Sponge Brayer to roll Crushed Curry ink all over. I burnished (rubbed) the piece with a tissue to remove excess ink and to make the zebras "pop". I then sponged the edges and lightly over the piece with Tuxedo Black ink for a distressed look.

After stamping the zebra on a rectangle of Whisper White with Tuxedo Black ink, I added a sentiment from the Lots of Happy Card Kit and sponged with both Crushed Curry and black ink. I stamped the "FRIEND" from the Bouquet Blooms set.

Inside I used another sentiment from Lots of Happy:

I used the Motion Stamping technique, continuing to stamp multiple times in a row without re-inking the stamp, to get the look of a running zebra.

I used the Envelope Punch Board, which is retiring, to create a custom envelope using some retired black-and-white designer paper. This was a fun card to make!
