Hey there! The long-awaited day is finally here! The Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs are LIVE for customer orders!
While messing around on Pinterest, I found Australian Gail Ellis' blog, Blue Rose Paper Treasures. Gail featured an easy technique, "Faux denim", requiring only cardstock and an inkpad!
I started with Balmy Blue cardstock, then swiped the open Night of Navy inkpad across the layer several times. I embossed the layer with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions folder. I cut a silver foil layer with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit, and cut the Night of Navy "happy" with a Well Written Framelit.
After faux denim-ing a smaller piece of Balmy Blue, I rubbed with an Embossing Buddy to dry up the ink. I stamped the Geared Up Garage car with Versamark and heat embossed with silver powder. It was easy to cut out the car with the Garage Gears Framelit die.
The inside sentiment is a combo of Well Said stamps and Well Written die. These are combined into a bundle so you can save 10%. I added a couple of Night of Navy "oil spills" and some silver foil gears for "pop".
