More “Rolling With the Punches” Class Samples Sneak Peeks!

Happy Wednesday stampers! I'm actually kind of under the weather today. Yesterday morning I felt that familiar scratchy feeling in my throat that usually signals a cold is coming on, and I was right! By last night I had a raging sore throat, runny nose, and ears all clogged up. I talked to my hostess for tonight, Barb, and we decided it would be best to reschedule her party so I don't infect anyone! I've got a super-duper party planned for her, so we are hoping to get her rescheduled soon! Today I am feeling some different, not better, but different, than yesterday. The sore throat is gone, but my throat still feels all hollow and dry, and my head & ears are all stuffed up. I'm going to wait until at least tomorrow to decide if a trip to the dr. is in order. Lots of fluids and decongestants today and Nyquil tonight! Usually if I can sleep at night I can shake a cold off pretty quickly, let's hope it works out that way this time!

Now, I know you didn't check in here to read all about my sniffles, did you? You came by to see if I had any cute stamping ideas, didn't you? I don't want to disappoint, so here are a few sneak peeks from my upcoming "Rolling With the Punches" class on May 28 & 29!

This adorable guy I CASED with some modifications from "Stampin' Success" the monthly demonstrator magazine Stampin' Up! sends out to all demos. Jackie Topa was the featured stamper this month and she does FANTASTIC punch creations! I couldn't resist this adorable monkey face peeping out of the "hut" window! Does it remind you of  "Gilligan's Island"? Jackie used linen thread to "tie" the "wood" and the window frame together, but I decided since we are going to be making 10 different cards at this class in less than four hours we needed a little streamlining, so we are just going to use the Close to Cocoa marker to make the "nails" in the construction! lol! I also added the hinges on the side of this door, and the "let's celebrate" is from "Family Phrases"!

Here's the inside: (I went with the "celebrate you" so this card could be used for multiple occasions!)

Next up is this gorgeous Oval punch tulip card I found on one of the convention boards last year. I made a few additions to make it more my own (See if you can guess what I used with the Big Shot to make the leaves!)

And lastly for today, here's an adorable birdie anniversary card! Oval punches again, and the Scalloped Oval, and the beautiful "Razzleberry Lemonade" DSP!

023 ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2010

That's all for today, stampers! I hope these samples will help convince my local stampers to RSVP to come to this class. If you aren't local, I am offering this class as a "Class to Go" kit for $25 for all the supplies cut, punched, and ready to go along with the class hand-out directions! Just email me and I will send you a Paypal invoice! All kits will ship by June 1st!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampin' Rox! day!

Punch Class is Coming!

Punch Class is Coming!

We are taking a small break from cruise pictures to talk about my upcoming punch class on May 28 & 29. We will be making 10 different punch projects at this class at my home for the $20 fee. I showed one of them in an email earlier this week, but here's another one we will definitely be doing:

011 ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2010

Isn't this cute little "bug" adorable? I found a couple of examples of this on the Stampin' Up! demonstrator showcase, and they found it from someone else, so I can't really give you the originator of this punch project, but we WILL be making this one at class! "He" (I'm sorry, but this guy looks like a "he" to me, and I sent one of these to my brother for his birthday!) is made with a bunch of the SU! oval punches and after I made one it was easy to do again!

Everything will be prepped and ready for you to make this and 9 other punchy projects when you RSVP to me, so let me know soon, because space is limited to 8 per session!

Until tomorrow, have a STAMPENDOUSLY GREAT DAY!

Punchy frog©Stampin'Up!™1990-2009

We made this darling little punchy frog at my "Birthday Blowout" Stamp-a-Stack this past weekend, and he was a real hit! One of my stampers informed me that I have a froggy card every year and she always comes to make it so she can give it to her brother! How cool is that? I don't think I even realized I DID a froggy card every year, but Donna's been paying attention! Thanks so much, Donna!

This little froggy is so much fun to make that I've decided to offer him as my new Monthly Online Ordering Gift! During the month of May, any Online Order of $50 or more placed through my Demonstrator Business Website: carolpayne.stampinup.net will receive a FREE kit to make 6 of these happy little froggy cards, complete with a picture tutorial to be emailed to you! (You will need the stamp set, "On Your Birthday" #111664 $33.95 or another similar birthday stamp set to complete these cards, along with SNAIL, mini glue dots, a 1/16" hole punch or paper piercing tool, Pacific Point Classic ink and an Old Olive Stampin' Write marker) Stampin' Up! sends me a notice everytime someone orders through my DBWS, so I will email you the tutorial and get your kit in the mail right away!

Jaye Shanks called today asking me to put these cute little guys on my blog. I should have done so already, but I'm not doing so great with my organization right now (still struggling with getting the priorities in order!), so I actually have a backlog of stuff I need to get on here. Unfortunately, there are still a bunch of things on my "to do" list that will have to get done before that happens, hoping things get lined out before it's too late and Christmas is here!

But nevertheless, here they are Jaye! If anyone else would like to have me post something they've seen in the past few weeks at my events, please just give me a call or an email and let me know!

This cute little gal is all ready for the 4th of July! One of my stampers, Becca, emailed me her version of the Aloha girl. She is getting ready to leave for Hawaii this next week, and is giving this card as a part of a gift for her friend she is traveling with. I asked for her permission to post her creation and she was thrilled!

Send me your version of any of the samples I post here on Stampinrox, and I will gladly post it with your permission!
