Stampin’Up! Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit!

Stampin’Up! Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit!

I apologize for such a late posting today. I held a class here this morning, with a few things to finish up before everyone arrived, so a blog post just wasn't in the cards!

But I hope I can make up for it by showing you one of the projects from today's class:

Pumpkin owl 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Isn't he just the cutest thing? This project has NO STAMPING! Can you believe it???? The 1" Circle-punched pumpkin pie pumpkin pieces are sponged with Tangerine Tango ink, but that's all the ink I used!

This little "Peeking Owl Jack-o-Lantern" is mounted on a tag from the "Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit". The tag is mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals on one of the glassine bags included in the kit. The glassine bag was embossed with the "Spider Web" Folder and the Big Shot.

Feature I LOVE about this kit! I love that it includes a sheet of 50 "Googlies"-googly eyes that are already adhesive-backed and ready to just lift off with a Paper-Piercing Tool or my Paper Snips and apply to my project!

In case you are wondering how I made the jack-o-lantern facial features, the eyes are the snipped-off tips of the smaller Petite Pennant Punch, and the mouth was created with the Postage Stamp Punch, then a little sliver was punched out of one side of the "stamp" with the 3/4" circle punch! Easy-Peasy!

Here's a side view:

And up even closer:

Pumpkin owl 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

This kit is perfect for packaging Halloween treats for school, work, family members, or Trick-or-Treaters! There are 10 glassine bags in each kit, and at $7.95 per kit, is really quite economical for such an impressive treat!

That's all for today. My evening class of Punch/Technique starts in a little over an hour, so I need to close for now!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! Day!

Stampin’ Up! Googly Ghouls!

Stampin’ Up! Googly Ghouls!

I decided to pick up where I left off, which was to continue to show you more of my Founder's Circle swaps! Today I am featuring "Googly Ghouls", which is an adorable little Halloween set from the Holiday Catalog, despite the fiendish name! The creator of this swap used "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" Designer Paper for the vertical banners behind the little mummy, and one of the cool "Googlies", self-adhesive googly-eyes, both from the Holiday Catalog! I apologize, but I do not have the name of this swaps' creator.

This next swap uses the cute little spider hanging from his web from the same "Googly Ghouls" stamp set, layered onto a Basic Black "Delicate Doily",an "Apothecary Accents" Framelit-cut "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" Tangerine Tango chevron layer, and finally a Basic Black "Oval Accents" Clear Die-cut layer. The "SPOOKY CREEPY CRAWLY" greeting is from "Border Banter", and the 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon in Basic Black & Basic Gray are both from the Holiday Catalog. See that cute little "Designer Ribbon Slide"? It's from the Holiday Catalog too! Topped off with a couple of the "Googlies", makes this swap by Amy Storrie just about perfect!

That's all for today! I am working on the finishing touches for my Punch/Technique Classes this Friday, so I need to get going!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! Day!

Stampin’ Up! Frightening Feline!

Stampin’ Up! Frightening Feline!

Happy first day of October!!!! It's officially Halloween month, and I have two Founder's Circle swaps to show you today, both using the "Frightening Feline" stamp set from the Holiday Catalog:

Frightening feline 1

©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I love the tiny little ribbon bow on the kitty's neck with Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and the "Spider Web" embossing folder was used for the background!

Next up, this creation used "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" Designer Paper for the card base, the Basic Black layer was cut with one of the "Window Frames" Framelit after heat embossing the kitty with Tangerine Tango embossing powder. The "Trick or Treat" greeting was cut out with one of the "Apothecary Accents" framelits. Framelits are just ducky for adding just the perfect layering touch!

Well, that's all for today! I will be back tomorrow with some more Halloween goodies!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! Day1

Stampin’ Up! Toxic Treats!

Stampin’ Up! Toxic Treats!

I received some GREAT swaps at Founder's Circle! The theme this year was "easy, workshop demonstratable" and WOW, everyone did a great job!

Today's swap is by Deb Valder using the "Toxic Treats" set from the Holiday Catalog:

Toxic treats 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I LOVE the way she shaded around the witch with lightest-to-darkest colors after heat embossing the image with Black embossing powder, and the Silver Glimmer layer really sets it all off! It was a stroke of genius to use the "Spider Web" Textured Impressions Folder for the background of it all!

Hope you all have restful Sunday! A nap may be in future this afternoon! lol!
