Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity Starlight!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity Starlight!

Hey there! I created my "starlight" card today with Peaceful Nativity once again, and used Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper, which is another one of the packs on sale this month for 15% off!

Stampin_up_trimming_the_town_starlight_circle_carolpaynestamps2

I cut the circle mat, star, and side strips from Champagne Foil.

Stampin_up_trimming_the_town_starlight_circle_carolpaynestamps3

I punched the ends of the greeting with the Banners Pick-a-Punch.

Inside:

Stampin_up_trimming_the_town_starlight_circle_carolpaynestamps7

Finally, a tutorial for the Starlight Technique!

Cut Whisper White with a Layering Circle Die. Adhere it to your grid sheet with a tiny bit of adhesive on the back. Line up the center of the circle with the bold lines of the grid.

Starlight circle 1

Lay the edge of a Post-it note from the top center to the corner of one of the grid squares. Use a sponge dauber to lightly sponge Misty Moonlight ink along the edge of the Post-it.

Starlight circle 2-1

Move the post-it down two squares on the grid and sponge again.

Starlight circle 5

Continue moving the post-it down one square, pivoting the top of the post-it from the same spot a the top of the circle. You may need to dab off the excess of Misty Moonlight ink before sponging along the post-it edge.

Starlight circle 8

It's now ready to stamp with Peaceful Nativity!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Hey there! Today's card was created with the Peaceful Nativity Bundle.  I found an old swap while I was cleaning the other day and  decided to re-create with new colors, stamps, and accessories:

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity2

I used Blackberry Bliss for my card base and the strip I embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. After embossing I brayered over the embossed images with White Craft Ink. I decided the white was overpowering the design, so I removed some of the ink from the raised areas by lightly swiping with a baby wipe. I just had to let it dry for a bit before adding any adhesive. I really like the look!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity3

After gold heat-embossing the Holy Family on Shimmery White, I punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I punched a second label from gold Brushed Metallic card stock, cut it in half, to add to the back of the label. I cut the star from the same gold Brushed Metallic with a Nativity Die.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity4

I gold heat-embossed the greeting and added three Gilded Gems.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity5

Here's a paper-saving trick: I conserved my gold Brushed Metallic card stock by cutting 1/2" strips the length I needed to adhere to the edges of the front embossed strip and to the inside layer!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity6

Dimensions:

Blackberry Bliss card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded 4 1/4"  embossed strip: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Brushed Metallic (gold) strips:   1/2" x 5 1/2" (need 2 front), 1/2" x 4 3/4" (need 2 inside)  to punch label:  3" x 3" to cut star: scrap

Shimmery White for focal image label: 3" x 3"    inside sentiment: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stampin’ Up! Snow Front Christmas Card!

Stampin’ Up! Snow Front Christmas Card!

Hey there! I loved playing with the Snow Front stamp set when I made my Snow Front Diorama card that I shared with you HERE, so I decided to play with it again! I used almost the same color palette: Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Real Red, Soft Suede but trading Garden Green for Just Jade.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped trees with Soft Suede this time instead of deer, and used a piece of 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Paper for the layer behind the focal image.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps5

I stamped the mountains multiple times with the same inking of Misty Moonlight. After stamping a couple of times I "huffed" (which is breathing open-mouthed, not blowing) on the stamp for the remaining stampings.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps6

I did all of my stamping and cut it out with the next-to-largest Celebration Labels Die before embossing with the Winter Snow folder.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps10

I had stamped the Itty Bitty Christmas greeting with Real Red ink before embossing. I added  rhinestones to the centers of a few snowflakes for some sparkle.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped and cut out the inside layer with the same Celebration Labels Die from the front and used another sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas.

Stampin_up_snowfront_carolpaynestamps7

Dimensions:

Misty Moonlight card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Misty Moonlight In Color Designer layer: 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White to stamp & cut with next-to-largest Celebration Labels Die: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" – need two

Stampin’ Up! Home Together Easel Calendar!

Stampin’ Up! Home Together Easel Calendar!

Hey there! I've been playing with calendar ideas for an outdoor craft fair I "hope" to be able to do in early December, and my first design is with my tried-and-true favorite fold, the easel!

Stampin_up_home_together_dies_carolpaynestamps5

It's one of the most simple designs I think I've ever done; no stamping, just die-cutting and dry embossing with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. While I was at it I added a Post-it-Note pad to make this even more useful as a nifty desk calendar!

Stampin_up_home_together_dies_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed the white layers with the lovely Winter Snow embossing folder and added the heart cut from the center of the little house with a mini stampin' dimensional.

Stampin_up_home_together_dies_carolpaynestamps2

I love this little house and trees, all cut with Home Together Dies from Garden Green and Real Red card stock!

Stampin_up_home_together_dies_carolpaynestamps3

The side trees are also cut with a Home Together Die.

Stampin_up_home_together_dies_carolpaynestamps4

Dimensions:

Misty Moonlight easel card base:  4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" easel upright: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Misty Moonlight calendar mat:  2 3/8" x 3 1/8"  Post-it-note mat: 3 1/8" x 3 1/8"

Whisper White layer: 4" x 5 1/4" – need two

Real Red for house/heart: 1 1/2" x 2"

Garden Green for trees: scraps
