Hey there! If you follow my blog, you know one of my favorite things to create, beside Christmas stuff, is birthday cards for my family. This year I had the privilege to create a card for a future daughter-in-law. We've waited and prayed for Grace for several years, so I'm super happy to get to make a birthday card for her!
Grace loves everything Pumpkin Spice and coffee, so I had to use Coffee Cafe' and the pumpkin pattern from Toil & Trouble Designer paper:
I used Cajun Craze and Soft Suede to coordinate with the DSP, adding a Corrugated Element behind the "sent with love" sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings.
The designer paper was adhered to a card stock layer, then embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Folder. I sponged the edges and over the embossed areas with Soft Suede ink to enhance the texture.
Inside I used sentiments from Perennial Birthday, stamped with Cajun Craze ink. I cut out a couple of the pumpkins to add inside and on the front of the envelope.
I created a second card to display (on the left) that is sponged more heavily and doesn't have pumpkin cut outs.
