Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Quilted Dazzling Diamond Dust!

Try sayin' that 5 times fast!

I'm getting ready for a workshop tonight, and yesterday evening, (after the taxes were done, yuck!) I started working on the projects for it! I wanted to use the SAB Designer Paper, "Everyday Enchantment", and I knew I wanted to use the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set, but after that I was pretty stumped. I went to Stampin' Connection, the exclusive, demo-only website Stampin' Up! provides for us (just ONE of the MANY great perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!) and typed in "Mixed Bunch". Several PAGES filled with thumbnails of great ideas came up. I found a card with this color scheme, using the "embedded embossing" technique to give the card it's quilted look, so I stated CASE-ing. (CASE-ing means to "Copy And Share Everything"!") I changed up a few things, such as adding the "Dazzling Diamond Dust" technique with the Big Shot Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, as well as adding the Word Window-punched sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes", and "Everyday Enchantment" Ribbon and Brad.

Can you see the glitter on the Blossom Punch-ed flower? I LOVE IT!

I also mounted the focal point on a Lucky Limeade mat layer and then a cardbase of Poppy Parade. I know the color in the DSP is supposed to be Calypso Coral, and I LOVE Calypso Coral, I actually prefer to use Poppy Parade with this paper. I think it just gives it all a little more "pop"!

Here's the inside of the card. I used an oldie-but-goodie, tried-and-true, go-to set, "Curvy Verses"! (Do you think I can come up with a few more cliches? If you can think of some more, leave me a comment with your suggestions and I will give away a few of these cards! Just leave me a comment between now and midnight, Sunday, March 4th and I will draw names to give 6 of these cards away!

Next week after I draw the names I will post the class instructions for this one! Hint about the instructions: I used the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets TWO DIFFERENT WAYS on this card!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

  1. Love the card!!! The quilt pattern is fantastic – reminds me of my childhood neighbor who loves to quilt. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend
    old faithful
    worth its weight in gold
a friend in need is a friend indeed
a thing of beauty is a joy forever
home is where the heart is
there is no place like home
    Have a Blessed day! Rhonda

  2. Well Rhonda “beat the band” with all the sayings 😉 — The cards are as always just SUPER!! And they do look like spring. Always enjoy your creativity. Blessings — Becky

  3. Too bad, only 2 comments. Rhonda, I will bring your card to you at your party Friday, and Becky yours will be here when you come to my house later this month!
    Thanks girls!

  4. I found your card through Pinterest and made it as a Thank You card. It turned out great. Not sure if you will see a comment on a post this old, but I wanted to tell you thank you for your design!
