Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia for July Online Class!

Hey there and happy Monday! If you read my blog daily you probably know I LOVE Mondays!

Today I have the first of three cards for the July Online Class. This month we're using the Definitely Dahlia background for all three cards, actually 6 because you get two each of the three different cards when you order at least $35 in my online store by the 15th of the month!

I have two versions of the same card today, but only one included in the online class. Can you guess which one?

I stamped the Dahlia on four different colors of cardstock with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Clear embossing powder, then heated with my heat tool.  I then cut each into four equal pieces, arranging one of each color:

I mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals on a Lost Lagoon card front embossed with the Stylish Stripes folder. I hand-cut the "friend" banner, stamped with the Endless Thanks set.

I punched a bit of new white corrugated paper with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, added a tiny flower punched with the Tree Builder Punch, and a rhinestone to the center.

Next I re-made the card:

I used the same stamping technique on the same colors of card stock, but used white embossing powder. I punched "friend" with the Washi Label Punch.

This time I used an Antique Brad.

I punched the card fold with my 1/4" Circle Handheld punch to add the Silver 1/8" ribbon under the washi label.

Inside I stamped the dahlia in the lower left, then added a Fabulous Four sentiment.

Which card do you think is in the online class? Come back tomorrow! lol!

  1. I am really not drawn to what I see as flat and one dimensional stamps, but your design is fabulous…love that you popped up each panel! Guessing that you will use the first card in your class…have fun…either version would be fun to make!
