Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #1!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Flowers #1!

Good Morning! Today is my second "Liam Day" for the week, and I have a workshop for dual hostesses Rachel and Rhonda tonight, so I just need to quickly show you this card, which will be part of my "Best of Flowers" Stamp Camp on March 30th!

I used the same layout as the Baby Crumb Bunny card I featured HERE at the beginning of the month. I loved this layout and the Tea for Two Designer Paper, but wanted to use this gorgeous quilt-looking side with the Island Indigo flowers, so I paired it with the rose stamp from the March "Best of" set, Best of Flowers!

This is also one of my swaps for the Stampin' Up! St. Louis Regional this Saturday, so I have to get crackin'! I'm actually going to get Liam and bring him back to my house today so I can work on these while he plays and naps!

Just today and tomorrow left to place orders to choose your Sale-a-bration gifts!

My Online Store is always open, and you can purchase the Demonstrator Starter Kit there too:

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Best Of Flowers Clear-mount Stamp Set Only #133342

spring comes green grass, blue skies, and of course flowers! Then what
could be better for our March “Best Of” set than a collection of the
best flower stamps from the past quarter-century? This set also includes
a never-before-seen flower image that coordinates perfectly with our
1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch.

Stampin’ Up! Apothecary Art!

Stampin’ Up! Apothecary Art!

Happy Friday! I'm really looking forward to the weekend! My dear Sister-in-law, Debbie, is coming for an overnight visit with her daughter, Amanda, and baby grandson, Logan!

If you've read my blog much, you probably know that I also have a son named Logan. He is a 6'2", 22-year-old chemistry student at Missouri S&T in Rolla, MO, and he just happens to be home this weekend too!

I was honored when Amanda asked me if I minded that she named her son Logan because she had always loved the name, so I'm excited to have "little Logan" to visit!

Today's card I created by request for a hostess next week using the Apothecary Art stamp set and the Label Collection Framelits:

Apothecary 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

The shape of this Baja Breeze card was cut with the Oval Accents Die and the Big Shot, then embossed with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Folder. I sponged Soft Suede ink all over to accent the embossed texture. The 5/8" Vanilla Flower Trim was colored with a Baja Breeze Stampin'Write Marker. The soft colored look for the flowers was achieved by scribbling the same Baja Breeze Marker on the top of a stamp box, then picking up the color with a Blender Pen and coloring the flowers. The Blender Pen dilutes and softens the marker ink, and then I added in darker accents in the flower centers with the marker direct to the paper:

Can you see the difference?

When you open the card you then have a "mini-card" inside!

Apothecary 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Which then opens to this:

Apothecary 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

So there you have it! I really like this card! I'm so glad my hostess requested this stamp set as I hadn't played with this set for awhile!

That's it for today! I'm going to Liam's this morning to play with him and watch the 3rd season of "Downton Abbey", which I am told is going to make me "freak-out" at the end, according to my two daughters who have already watched it. (I'll let you know tomorrow if I "freaked" or not!)

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!
