I must admit, all of the attention the Pop-Up card has been receiving has been ALOT of fun! In case you missed it, here it is again:

I've been working on several Valentine projects this week, but I took the time today to get the Pop-Up Card Tutorial together, and here it is for you to download:

Download Birthday Pop-up Card

Please let me know if you have any questions, I would love your feedback and would love for those of you who make this card from my tutorial instructions to comment and put a link to a picture of your creation in the comment section.

In honor of all the sweet attention this card has received, I have decided to extend my free Birthday Pop-Up Card offer through Sunday, February 5th! So far I have received NINE positive comments ( a REAL RECORD for my blog!) On Monday, February 6th I will draw names from all the comments and will give away a total of SIX more free Pop-Up Birthday cards! (Don't worry, Ruth, as the first to comment, you will get your card, I am giving away six MORE cards for a total of 7!)

If you need to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies to make this card or for any other stamping project you may have on your "to do" list, AND do not have a relationship with a local Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you can always go to my Stampin'Up! website to order:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

I do not want to take business away from another demonstrator, so please order from your Demo if you have one!

See you tomorrow for another "Stampingrox!" Day!

Valentine Quick Card Box & Cards!

Valentine Quick Card Box & Cards!

Well, I didn't get back yesterday afternoon to show you the Valentine Box & Cards as I was inspired to work on school-exchange Valentines for my grandchildren's approval (which I will share another day), but here's the box & cards now:

Valentine quick box 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I used the same box design as the one I posted yesterday for the Mixed Bunch Box & Cards, but used Cherry Cobbler Textured Cardstock, Twitterpated Designer Paper, and the "P.S. I Love You" stamp set.

I cut out my valentine hearts with the Heart Framelits, using the next to largest heart for the Whisper White layer. Even though there are 6 different sizes of hearts in this set, wouldn't you know the size I needed for the Cherry Cobbler matting layer didn't exist, UNTIL I realized I could trace around the outside of the framelit and then cut out the slightly larger heart mat with my Paper Snips! Voila! This discovery (although I'm sure I'm not the first), now expands the Heart Framelits from 6 sizes to 11! WOW! A great value for $26.95 price for the framelits!

I also added some cool detailing to each heart, one of the "Trinket Hearts", available in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I attached each one to the heart using my Paper Piercing Tool and a Silver Mini Brad!

Each heart has a phrase and image from "P.S. I Love You" and Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon. This final sample also has Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details added to the stamped hearts! Even though Cherry Cobbler is not Riding Hood Red, it coordinates beautifully together! That's Stampin' Up! for you, always providing the best in coordination!

See you tomorrow for the reveal of the samples in the running for my grandchildren's Valentines! Ever since Maddie Kate, now 10 1/2 and in 5th grade, was in Kindergarten I have made Valentines with her for her classmates at school. Last year Ava joined us in the valentine-making tradition, and this year Cohen has Valentine's to make for Tuesday school! Oh my, boy-valentines, which as you would imagine are VERY different from girl-valentines!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Kit Kat Treatholders Tutorial

Kit Kat Treatholders Tutorial

Web6

I was reading over the "Simply Neat Holiday Planning" newsletter I sent out yesterday and realized I promised to put this tutorial on my blog, but then I left to do a party and forgot all about it. Shame on me! I also found an error I need to correct as well as need to send out the Ribbon & Designer Series Paper Club info again. We need 5 people to sign up for a club before I can order the ribbon or paper, so I hope several of you sign up!

If you don't receive my newsletter, be sure to sign up for it at the box on the left!

Now, on to the tutorial:
Purse base dimensions: 10" x 2 1/2" – Scored at 2 3/16", 2 11/16", 6 1/8", and 6 5/8".
DSP dimensions: 9 x 2 1/4". DO NOT SCORE.
Lightly fold the Purse base along the scored lines, then adhere the DSP, starting at the "short" end (the end closest to the 2 3/16" scored line). The DSP will not cover all of the base, but that's ok.
Web10

Adhere Sticky Strip along the end that does not have DSP but do not remove the red tape cover. Use the Sticky Strip as your guide to punch the candy slot with the Word Window punch, then remove the red tape cover.

Web11

Adhere Sticky Strip to along edge of 2 11/16" score line. Adhere SNAIL between the scored lines, then attach 10 1/2" of ribbon as shown to create the handle.
Web13

Stamp on the opposite side of the DSP to use as your guide to cut out your embellishment, in this case the top of the cupcake from the Big Bold Birthday Set (on sale this month for 20% off!)
Web14 Here it is after cutting out and flipping over:
Web15
Stamp and cut out the bottom of the cupcake, attach the two pieces with SNAIL, then add several Stampin' Dimensionals to the frosting area.
Web16

Next, add your treat! This can be any small candybar, gum, whatever will fit!
Web17

Attach to front flap of treatholder. Use 1/4 of a Velcro Circle to secure flap. I found if I used  half circle it was too strong and I tended to rip off my cupcake when I opened it. Keep both pieces of the Velcro circle attached to each other and stick it to the open flap of the treatholder, remove the covering over the bottom piece, then close the flap. The velcro will be perfectly aligned!Web18
Velcro is very fuzzy after you cut it! ha!

So here they are! So cute! And they make up so fast!
Web6
Here are the rest of the treatholders I made in case you missed my newsletter!
Web 3
Ghostly Greetings DSP and Batty for You!
Web4
Autumn Vine DSP and True Friend.
Web5
Holiday Treasures DSP and Deer Friends Hostess Level 2!

Like I said, these are quick and easy!  My newsletter has details on how you can order kits to make 12 of these little babies! I have kits in the Autumn Vine and Holiday Treasures DSP.

I have more to share, but I need to go to my daughter's today, so I will post more when I get back!
ta ta for now!
