Halloween Boo! Bag

Halloween Boo! Bag

I've had such a great response to my Fancy Favor bag with the Autumn Meadows DSP I've been doing at my recent workshops, that I decided to show you what I did with it for Halloween! I used "Twick or Tweet", a really cute set that I hope makes it into next year's catalog, as I haven't used it enough yet! I also used the new Sizzlet Alphabet, "Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Alphabet Junior", which is exclusive to Stampin' Up! (you can't buy it anywhere else!):

Here's the other project we did at the same party, using "Good Friend" & "Eat, Drink, & Be Scary"! It's not my original, I saved it from an email from one of the online stamping groups I'm a part of, so I can't give credit. If you know who was the originator of this idea, please let me know and I will gladly give credit! I did change up the DSP to current "Creepy Crawly", and did a little different stamping, so it's not an exact copy!

And in case you are interested, it was a Stamping Halloween party, so of course we all had to dress up in costume! Here I am, I dressed as a pirate aka "Puss in Boots"!

My husband could barely take these pics for me, he was laughing so hard! It was a fun party! I hope Kelly hosts again for me next Halloween!

O’Christmas Tree Pop-Up Die!

O’Christmas Tree Pop-Up Die!

The Holiday Mini began on September 1st, and it is PACKED full of awesome stamps, papers, and Big Shot Dies to make all of your holiday crafting amazing!
Lookie at this!

This tree took just a little bit of time to put together, and there is a "learning curve" involved, but I can show you how! This one is attached to the larger of the Scalloped Circle #2 die with Sticky Strip, but it is made to collapse flat on itself so it fits inside the crease of a card like this!

Snpwman and pop up tree 006©Stampin' Up!™1990-2009

I used the "Petals-Plenty" Textured Impressions Embossing folder and "Snow Swirled" stamp set for the front of this card. I punched "Season's Greetings" with the "Modern Label" punch and used "Rich Regals" brads. I piled three stampin' dimensionals on top of each other to create the curve at the bottom of the tree. I also ran my 2-way glue pen randomly over the embossed surface and then sprinkled dazzling diamonds glitter all over the tree!

Inside looks like this!

I love this tree, and will be making many more of these in the next few stampin' months! If you would like to learn how to make this tree, just give me a call!

Big Shot Daisies Wreath!

Big Shot Daisies Wreath!

Wow! What a wonderful day I've had! Everytime I check my email I've found a new "Happy Birthday" wish from a friend on Facebook (I've GOT to get this blog linked up to my Facebook account!), my beloved big brother called to wish me a Happy Birthday (even though I just saw him yesterday at my birthday party!), I received several phone calls, voicemails, and texts wishing me a happy day, and my wonderful hubby both put a second coat of paint on my new kitchen walls while I was away at a stampin' party AND went to town and bought me a Wii for my birthday present! (apparently he doesn't know how thrilled I was he was doing the painting!) My stampin' party was lots of fun too! Someone said, "what are you doing working on your birthday? You should be going out to dinner!" But seriously, I LOVE to stamp, and teaching these girls how to stamp for (some of them) their very first time was such a joy! I spent the entire day yesterday with both my brother & sister (who live 2 1/2 hours away in Decatur, IL) as well as all of my kids & grandkids, so what better way to top off my 50th? And now that I have a Wii to "workout" with, this should be a really great decade!

Enough about the birthday girl, here's what I really want to show you, a wreath I found on one of the convention boards (therefore I have no idea who made it, but it's awesome!)

Big shot daisies wreath

I'm always a sucker for a wreath, and my husband can vouch that I have gobs of Christmas ones up in the attic, but I have a hard time finding one I like for other times of the year. I think this one would really fit the bill! I've already made a trip to Hobby Lobby for a wreath form so I can get my Big Shot going to make this! Would you all be interested in doing this as class? If you would, just leave a comment here or send me an email!

Well, after such a busy birthday, this girl is ready to hit the hay!

I'll stamp more tomorrow!

Carol

Big Shot Pennant Banners!

Big Shot Pennant Banners!

Happy Friday Stampers!

I know I am a little later than normal with today's post, but we had a crazy evening last night. I spent part of my afternoon at my daughter's getting ready for a yard sale, but had to leave early to go the the funeral home visitation for my husband's great-uncle, Danny Fowler. He was quite an interesting man: one of 13 children, had a twin named Sammy, a farmer, hay-baler (he owned a baler and did alot of the hay-baling around here for YEARS), father to 5 children (one of which is a missionary in France), insurance agent (long ago I worked for the same small company he did, so had the opportunity to have some good conversations with him), and just a few months ago gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized, wheelchair and all, in a local pond! His family had been concerned about where he would spend eternity, but they don't have to worry now, praise the Lord! He was a good man, and will be missed by a large company of family and friends.

I promised you all a Christmas Banner today, and here it is:3
This is another project made with the Pennant XL Bigz Die (which is a Stampin' Up! exclusive) and the Big Shot. This banner is smaller than the Thanksgiving one I showed earlier this week:Thanksgiving Banner , but is on the same die with the big pennant, so you actually get two for the price of one with this die! I wheeled the Bold Showflakes with a Whisper White Craft cartridge, then die cut the "Peace, Love, Joy, Cheer" words with Chocolate Chip cardstock using the "Join in the Cheer" Decorative Strip Die. I cut the words apart and SNAILED them on. The stars are Shimmery White cardstock attached with mini-glue dots.

Here are some close-ups:

Here's a couple of details from the Thanksgiving banner too:

I used the baby-wipe technique to stamp the leaf from With Gratitude, used the embossing buddy over it, then stamped the Well Worn Alphabet with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, and clear embossed.

I really love how these both turned out, but have more ideas for another Christmas banner, so hopefully will have another one to show you in the near future.

I have another crazy day today: finish setting up the yard sale today, a Techniques Class in Hoyelton tonight, spend the night at my daughter's, yard sale tomorrow morning, then my downline is coming for their monthly Techniques Class tomorrow evening! Whew! I will be taking a break from blogging over the weekend, but will be back at it again on Monday, unless something else awesome comes along before then (which could happen!)so at least check back then!

Have a great first weekend of October!
