Another “Here Come the Holidays!” Sample!

Last Christmas was all about the Origami Christmas tree:Columbus Day008©Stampin'Up!™1990-2008
This was a great card and everyone loved making it (well, almost everyone!) It was rather time consuming, was bulky in the envelope, and used alot of Designer Series Paper. This paper is no longer available, so this year I searched for an easier, more economical Designer Tree Card and came up with this:
3©Stampin'Up!™1990-2008

Cute, isn't it? This tree uses the "Holiday Treasures" Designer Series Paper, the Photo Corner Punch, "Time for a Tree" standard wheel, "Best Yet" level 1 Hostess, and the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware. (I'm sure you are wondering how come I have the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware frames when we can't order the whole set until tomorrow. It's because as a SU! demo we can order some cool new items in BULK  ahead of time so we can have more on hand to use in our parties, classes and camps. Just another perk to having your own Stampin' Up! business!)

I have a little tip for you when you use the Styled Vanilla frames: The Chocolate Chip cardstock is attached to the inside of the frame with mini-glue dots. I found as I was making my sample that the mini-glue dots did not want to stick very well to the Styled Vanilla frame (possibly a by-product of the vanilla finish). We discovered during my "Here Come the Holidays!" camp that if you rough up the finish on the back side of the frame with one of our Sanding Blocks, the glue-dot will stick! Thanks to one of my great stampers for the suggestion! I am always learning new tips and ideas from all of you!
