An Elegant Feminine Birthday Card with “Friends 24-7”!

My hostess for tomorrow night, Sandy, asked for an "Elegant Feminine Birthday" card for her Stamp Camp, so of course I went straight for "Friends 24-7"! It's elegant femininity deluxe! I also went to my Designer Paper stash to use my "Bella Bleu" DSP! Here's the card, let me know what you think!

We will also be using the Eyelet Border punch with the Photo Corner punch in a new way to get a much more "feminine" photo corner!

The birdie is stamped in Sahara Sand on the Very Vanilla cardstock, then I layered Vellum Paper over the birdie which I stamped the "friends" phrase in Not Quite Navy. Now, I don't use vellum on my projects as much as I would like, mainly because I never know how to attach it without the adhesive showing, but on this card I was able to put a little dab of SNAIL in three of the four corners, then covered the corners with the photo corners and the Styled Vanilla ribbon slide with the Kraft taffeta ribbon. For the final corner I used my Paper Piercer and Mat Pack to pierce a "faux stitching" line up each side of the corner. Piercing the vellum through the Very Vanilla backing causes the vellum to stick into the holes just a little bit and "voila!" no adhesive needed in that corner!
