We had a great time at the Spring Into Stamping Extravaganza on Valentine's Day! Here are some pictures of the highlights of the day:
You registered at the door for door prizes and the grand prize (the basket of goodies you can see under my daughter Kimberly's arm!), stamped your name tag, and received a bag to carry your creations!
Here's a pic of the room as we were getting into full swing! You can see on the wall to the left we showed the "2008 Workshop Wow!" DVD. (Hopefully when we have this event again after the Fall catalog comes out we will have figured out how to get the sound to work too!)
A popular table was Linda Reaney's project, "Faux Crocodile"! She also demonstrated how to use the new Circle Scissor Plus!
Here's the project everyone got to make. It's hard to see the faux crocodile on the Chocolate Chip background, but isn't he adorable?
This was my table where everyone got to make a cute little 3×3 card using a flower cut from the Sticky Pages and Dazzling Diamonds glitter!
Remember this card?
Janis Felty had a cute little card for us to make using one of our great Sale-a-bration sets. Remember, you can choose one of these sets FREE with every $50 order from now until March 31st!
Jan McGowen was kind enough to obtain the use of her church fellowship hall for this event! Thanks Jan! She had everyone busy making an adorable giftcardholder using the Top Note Bigz Die and the "Yummy" SAB set!
Here's the giftcardholder:
Lorelei Stone helped everyone make a card with the Beautiful Butterflies Exclusive to Stampin' Up! Die! The Big Shot was a common tool used at this event! Here's her card:
Wendy Neal demonstrated the "Heart to Heart" Punch! Lots of fun!

Kiowana Ferguson had the Box #2 Bigz XL die for us to use to make an adorable little box!
All in all it was a GREAT DAY! We hope to have another event just like this one in August after the new catalog comes out in July! We are planning to have TWO event locations in the same weekend, one at the same Mt Vernon location, and a location more southern, hopefully in West Frankfort!
