©Stampin' Up!™1990-2009
My hostess for tomorrow night, Angie, loves anything rubber-duckie, so she asked to do a card with this fun little guy from "Wagon Full of Fun" from the Occasions Mini. He is so much fun to color! I used the Polka Dot background from the Dormant List (which means it's a stamp set not shown in the catalog but you can still purchase it, ask me for a copy of the Dormant List!) with Pacific Point ink on the Pacific Point cardstock, Kiwi Kiss cardstock, and this great print from the "Good Morning Sunshine" Designer Series Paper. (DON'T FORGET this and all of our other Designer Series Paper is on sale this month Buy Three Get a 4th Package for FREE!) I stamped the duckie with Basic Black ink (I would usually use Staz-on, but the pad is in another project box already packed to go to the party tomorrow!), then colored him with Summer Sun & Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write markers. I used Pacific Point refill ink and an old blender pen to color his bow. I stamped the wing area on the same DSP, then cut out the wing and popped it up with a tiny piece of a Stampin' Dimensional. I finished off the card with the words "Lucky Duck" from the same "Wagon Full of Fun" set stamped on Whisper White, punched out with the Large Oval punch, then layered on a Scalloped Oval punched from Kiwi Kiss.
Note: My daughter, Jessica, (go check out her blog, "It's a Sweet Crazy Life", the link is on my sidebar) tells me I need to take a couple more pictures of the Pop-up Cake card to show how it "pops" out of the card. She hasn't seen it in person and says it's hard to invision how it "pops"! I have Recipe Book Classes today, so hopefully I will get that done and blogged for tomorrow sometime today!
I still have plenty of room at my "Birthday Blow-out" Stamp Stack on Saturday, so give me a call to reserve your spot at the 10 a.m or 2 p.m. class!
Stamp something good today!
