After being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for over 6 years, I of course have alot of retired stampin' stuff stored away. Now, just because it is retired doesn't mean I won't use it, I just won't use it with my stampers. I will not disappoint you by having you stamp with something you might fall in love with but can't buy. However, since most of my stamping is for you, my stampers, I have ALOT of stampin' stuff stored away (I already said that, didn't I? oh well.. . ) My DH and family sometimes make fun of me for all the stuff I have stashed away, but then there's a day like Sunday!
On Sunday, my daughter Kimberly came to me with a project she needed to complete before school on Monday morning. As a Math & History teacher for Junior High age kids, she has been collecting quotes from her students for the past few years, just funny stuff they have said in class, funny, quirky answers to test and discussion questions, and decided to put them into a little book for her graduating 8th graders. We worked all Sunday afternoon and evening, even got her husband, future brother-in-law, and brothers in on the final assembly, but this is what we ended up with:

These turned out exactly the way she wanted them to be, and we made 32 of them with 22 pages in each one. My Crop-a-dile came in real handy to punch the holes for the rings, and the my laminating machine made the front & back covers look great! This DSP is so old it only has print on ONE SIDE of the paper (do you remember when our DSP was only one sided?), but it was perfect for this project, fresh, young, and fun!
Moral to this story: Don't worry if you have lots of stampin' stuff in your stash, you never know when it will come in perfectly handy!

Way cool! What a great teacher. Speaking of retired stuff, when does the next retiring list come out?
