Happy Saturday Stampers!

What a day yesterday was! It seems like it was TWO days because it was one of THOSE days when it seemed like I was trying to swim upstream and everything I did led to disaster! I even spoiled one of my Stamp-a-Stack samples by laying the front of the card in a black inkpad! Ever done that before? I have many times in my almost 8 years of stamping (I will have to dig it out and show you MY first card I ever stamped one of these days!)

Anyhow, in case you aren't coming/didn't make it to my "Express Yourself!" Thinking of You/Sympathy Stamp-a-Stack, here's the rest of the cards we are making. I thought I would torture you with the regret you will feel when you see these! lol! (just kidding, but seriously, you NEED to come next month on March 27th, 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. for my All-Occasion Stamp-a-Stack!)

Here they are in no particular order, some are my own design, some have been inspired by others, but all have been personally stamped by me!

First, this card was inspired by a scrapbook page we made at Leadership this past January, usually I take card ideas and turn them into scrapbook pages, but this time I did the opposite! I really love this card, especially the Button Latte' button in the middle of the flower!

Next,this is the finished card I showed you a "sneak peek" of a couple of days ago. I have been hoarding my Ribbon Orignals ribbon packs for months, but have decided I must use them before they retire on June 30th, and I'm so glad I am! This ribbon is perfect for this card! (I also used another pack of Ribbon Originals ribbon on the Vintage Vogue card day before yesterday!) I used the "Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack" for both of the DSP on this card. Although at first I thought $24.95 was a bit pricey, I have pleasantly discovered that this pad is a GREAT VALUE! There are so many GREAT designs, that even though there are still only two pieces of each design, I love so many of them, it's so much fun to keep creating with new ones!

Here's a cheery little card using "Cheep Talk! I love how there are so many cute little stamps in this set, you don't need anything else to make an entire card! We also have the choice of this same card layout, but with Bermuda Bay as the cardbase and Crushed Curry as the ribbon!

Next up is a CASE of Patty Bennett, but I did change the background DSP from the Welcome Neighbor 6×6 Pack you can get free with a $50 order right now. I loved using the "Two Tags" Die to cut the Whisper White focal point! I cranked out several of these in just a minute or two!

This card uses another stamp set you can get free right now with a $50 order, "Spring Song"! I've always been very intimidated by watercoloring, I usually make a mess with too much water,  but this time I stamped the birdie on Watercolor Paper, then used a blender pen to pick up the ink I squeezed onto the lid of my pads to color him in! Voila! No watery mess!

This is one of two choices to make this card using "A Flower For All Seasons"! As you can see, I am really enjoying my Watercolor Paper, this time using Stampin' Write Markers! When you use the markers on the watercolor paper, the marker lines blend together, eliminating that "over-markered" look! I even managed a little "shading" on one side of the basket!

Here's the other one. I markered Bashful Blue ink onto the watering can first, then layered on some Brocade Blue to give it "depth" (at least I think that's the right term, I will have to ask my Fine Arts daughter if that is correct!) I think it has a bit of that mottled look of old graniteware! It was a happy accident!

Last but not least, a new card using an old favorite, "Close As a Memory"!

That's it for today, I'm heading to bed for a few winks of sleep before setting up for my camp later today. I hope to be back with you in a couple of days with some samples of the Scalloped Square Rag Quilt purses that my daughters and I are really into making right now. Alisa even got her brother, Logan, into the project, and here's a little peek at what he actually sewed on my machine!

N0, THAT LITTLE BABY PURSE ISN'T FOR HIM, ALISA CHOSE & PREPPED THE FABRIC FOR THIS PURSE, BUT HE HAS JUST ENOUGH "ART" AND "ENGINEERING" INTEREST IN HIM THAT I THINK HE ENJOYED PUTTING IT TOGETHER. HE EVEN ALLOWED ME TO TAKE HIS PICTURE WITH IT, KNOWING I WOULD BLOG IT! (He will graduate from Rend Lake in May with an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science, so he's no slouch, but he "could" clean up his room once in awhile, couldn't he? ha!)

I have great kids!
