Stampin’ Up! Summer Smooches Cupcake!

Sorry for the late posting, but yesterday was a slow day for me, so unfortunately I didn't stamp a thing! I started a new workout program with Jessica and her trainer, Holly, about a month ago, and everything goes along just fine until there is a gap in the schedule, and Spring Break last week was a definite gap! Yesterday's workout just wore me out! I spent a good part of the rest of the day finishing up the "Hunger Games" second book, "Catching Fire", so I guess I did accomplish something!

That said, here's a card I created today for a few of my workshops this month using the new "Summer Smooches" Designer Paper and the "Create a Cupcake" stamp set!

The colors in the Summer Smooches Designer Paper are: Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Rich Razzleberry, so I pulled my color palette from this DSP strip! A little out of my comfort zone as I usually go for a couple of colors maximum plus one neutral, but this really works for me! The background of this main DSP strip is acutally an opaque version of Tempting Turquoise!

Here's a close-up of the cupcake after assembly. I added some Dazzling Details in dots and swirls around the stamped cupcake sprinkles because when you apply the Dazzling Details on top of Classic ink it sometimes makes the ink a little blurry:

If this layout looks familiar, it is very similar to another Create a Cupcake card I showed you a few weeks ago using the "Everyday Enchantment" Designer Paper! Here's the inside of the card:

That's all for today! I have to get ready to go pick up my three oldest grandchildren and take them to their gymnastics practice! I haven't been to their practice in quite awhile, and Cohen just started, so it will be fun to watch them! Just one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demo, I can take time to do these things with my family!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
