Stampin’Up! Vivid Vases with Gingham Garden!

Hey there! We've had a relaxing day today. After church and dinner with the fam, we watched a movie, "Austenland", that Kimmy & Tony found at the video store,(I caught a "little" nap!), there were games, I cuddled on Liam and Oakley, then I made home-made pizza for everyone for supper. Pizza on Sunday night is becoming a new tradtion!

Tonight's card is one I created for my "Vivid Vases" class, but it didn't make the cut because I felt it was a bit too "fussy" for a class. Tell me what you think. Would you like to make this card in a class with a total of 5 projects?

All the vases are paper-pieced (fussy-cut) and the flowers are colored with markers. The greeting is carefully stamped on a 1/2" wide strip of cardstock, then the banner ends are hand-cut with Paper Snips.

Inside is pretty simple. What is your verdict?

Guess it's probably just up to the stamper. I have this card in my display I take to hostess parties and it's been chosen for a party next month! I really love the card!

  1. Loving your gingham card!!! Only if you did not fussy cut each vase could this be a very fun (and pretty!) class project….

  2. That’s why it didn’t make “the cut”. But the funny thing is, one of the cards we did make had a couple of the vases fussy cut, and no one complained at all. A couple of the girls even went further and fussy cut all of the vases, and then stamped and fussy cut a couple of the blossoms too. Even the girls who hadn’t done so much fussy cutting wished the had done more. Go figure!
