When I saw this month’s theme, I immediately thought of the Beautiful Ride stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. It is a bit funky, and the Volkswagon bug stamp is definitely 60’s retro-style, perfect to go along with the theme!

I used a “z-fold” for the Bermuda Bay card base, layered with Melon Mambo, and then a layer of Cherry on Top Designer Paper with a Pool Party design.
Stampin_up_beautiful_ride_2 - Copy
I stamped the “bug” on a piece of Blushing Bride paper from the Limited Edition Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper in the Sale-a-bration brochure, then fancy-cut it out with Paper Snips. I stamped the “LOVE”, hearts and “xoxo” images from Beautiful Ride, all with Archival Basic Black ink. I cut out the “LOVE BUG” phrase with a Bitty Banners Framelit and added tiny Melon Mambo hearts with glue dots.

I finished my creation with more phrases from Beautiful Ride and the “heart smoke trail” from another Limited Edition Sale-a-bration set, Sky is the Limit.

  9. I love the hippie look 2.0 on this card. The colors are a bit 50’s and so this makes it all so retro and yet brand new. I like it!!
